How Coins Work in Smash the City

Prerequisites
None
Checked

Count repeatable income separately from one-time rewards. A normal run pays for destruction plus any progress bonus it triggers; codes, challenges and packs are recorded on the side.

What you get from this page: the three confirmed payouts, the list of what is still unknown, and a recording method that gives you a real number for your own runs.

Every source of Coins

Source What triggers it Counts every run? Where you see it
Destroying the city Each piece you smash pays Coins Yes Coin counter next to the destruction percentage
Progress bonuses 25 / 50 / 75 / 95 percent destroyed Yes, once per threshold per run Banner at the top of the screen
Daily challenges Three tasks, refreshed on a timer Once per task Daily challenges panel, Challenges tab
Codes SMASH Once per account Settings → Codes
Packs Starter Pack and one-off products Once per purchase In-game store

What is confirmed

  • 25% pays +100 Coins. Visible in the creator's preview footage.
  • 50% pays +250 Coins. Visible in recorded gameplay.

What stays unknown

  • The fixed value of a single destroyed piece.
  • The 75% and 95% bonus amounts. Secondary sources say 500 and 1,000; no frame was found.
  • Whether the map, the team size or the server speed change the payout.
  • How Coins are split when several players wreck the same city.
  • Exactly which income 2x Coins doubles.

Record your own runs

Field What to write
City Downtown, Night City, or the paid city you are testing
Tool and settings The tool you used and any slider values
Players and speed How many players, and the server speed if shown
Start balance Coin count before the first hit
End balance Coin count after the run ends
Extra rewards Codes, challenges or packs claimed during the run
Repeatable income End minus start, minus the extras

Run it three times without buying anything in between, then take the middle number. If you compare a fixed 30-second window instead of a full run, compare only the balance change in that window.

Is there a coin hack?

No working coin hack was established by the collected material. For a route you can plan around, use destruction income, progress bonuses and SMASH; track challenge rewards separately. This page does not host scripts and does not claim that every exploit in existence has been disproven.

What comes next: put your repeatable number into the Coin Planner and see how many runs your next unlock actually costs.
